  3. Janna, praying for a safe trip to Omaha this morning, for peace and strength for you and your family as you begin this new chapter, and also - as you put it - for a stomach of steel. Take care, Katie Yeldell

  6. You are loved. You are being prayed for. We are praying you can rest in Him, and not think of everyone else. This is about you, and for you. Be blessed Janna! May his peace, strenght, and grace flow in abundance over and through you. Damien

  7. Janna-
Praying and thinking about you non-stop! I went to the UNMC Oncology floor yesterday to visit you in Omaha, and they said you hadn't checked in yet. So sad I missed you. Sounds like today's the day! You are going to be the miracle child they will talk about for years :-) I pray you blow them all away with your speedy recovery and how well everything goes. You are so gracious and strong. Expecting Miracles...
    Much love,

  8. I have Psalm 4:8 taped to the bottom of my computer screen. "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." I'm thinking of you this morning and hope you feel the safety of God's arms around you.

  9. When I think of you Janna, "brave and beautiful" always come to mind, and that's just a on a regular ol' Tuesday! I'm praying for you as you begin today. I keep on thinking of storming Omaha, like the WWII battle -- that's what you're gonna do.

  11. Janna - You are well-loved and well-protected by the Great Physician. None of this is beyond His control, and has all passed thru His hands. Doesn't make it any easier, but He will not abandon you, and has a plan in all of this. You are chosen to bring Him glory in a way that many could not handle. Your Father will cradle you when necessary and rejoice with you when the trial has passed. We love you so much and will be lifting you up over and over and over....

  12. Janna,
I am a little surprised not to see a prayer request for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. I guess that may deserve its own blog. :)

Take care, stay strong and we will be praying for you.

  13. Two verses I've been praying for you today...

    Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

    Psalm 41:3
The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.

  14. Hey Janna, I guess it's "tomorrow" now and you're getting your first treatment. I've read some of the posts and it's obvious that the power of prayer is on your side. Becky and I are thinking about you often. I know you love sports so I'll just say that we are praying for a quick and decisive victory. Don't be afraid to run up the score!

  15. Janna,
Holly shared your blog with me. You and your family are in my prayers and the peace you have is what I think Paul talks about in Ephesians... "the peace that surpasses understanding." You are a fighter!

  17. Hey Cousin-n-law,

Just wanted to share with you one thing that gave me strength and peace when I was going through my treatment in hopes that it will comfort you and give you strength as well. My Aunt would always say to me, "I've got you on every prayer list I know" Some how that made me feel covered. I guess because Matthew 18:20 says, Where two or three are gathered together in my name - That is, to worship me. I am in the midst of them - By my Spirit, to quicken their prayers, guide their counsels, and answer their petitions. Janna, "I've got you on every prayer list I know!" You are a Survivor! We love you!
