Thank you to everyone for all the prayers, especially the intentional ones to end the fever- they worked. It got as high as 104.5 yesterday afternoon and then as quickly as it started, it ended last night about 7. The chemo is definitely succeeding at knocking down my blood cells. My WBC's were 0.4 today - hope they rebound as quick as they drop! Overall feeling ok today, have a bit of a headache and food still isn't top on the priority list. If I can stay fever-free, the plan is still to head back to KC late Tuesday.
His left arm is under my head and his right arm embraces me.

Janna, I learned of your diagnosis and this website via Katie D. I have been praying so much for you and your family. I have always admired your strength (even going back to days at Crestview!) and I know you can make it through this, too. Please take comfort in knowing we're all thinking and praying for you! Will keep checking back on this site for updates from you or your mom.

JANNA!!! It's been too long since we chatted :( [remember the time I stopped in KC on my way to CO?) Anyways, Holly and Jenny led me to your blog. Wow, you are amazing! Know that I have always admired your inherent strength and resolve to succeed at everything you put your mind to. I'm thrilled to see that your approach to this dx is no different. All the best and lots of prayers coming out of NC for you and your family. I'll be sure to follow your progress by checking for updates... xoxo, Deb Engle

Janna, reading this just confirms your beauty and your trust in our good Father! You are a jewel and it's an honor to see how your posse ;) -closest girlfriends- are loving on you. I'm praying over here at the Stouse House. God is with you- he hears your cries. He's protecting you and HE LOVES YOU!

ReplyDeleteI admire your faith, strength and determination. We will continue to pray for you, your family and the doctors treating you. Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Janna,
ReplyDeleteYou are constantly in our thoughts and prayers! We have been praying for you with the girls every night at bedtime, I prayed for you with a group of men and women during the Friday morning worship service at my urban internship site, and Mark asked our parish to pray for you during mass today.
May you feel God’s peace during this difficult time.
Love,
Bridget, Mark, Caitlin, and Megan Purdome
