Yeah, Janna! I'm so thankful that your four rounds are DONE. You are truly a warrior. I'm praying for excellent results, that the chemo did its job, your body continues to mend from chemo side effects, and that you can move forward. -- Jess Yeldell
Janna, I continue to pray. As a Mom, I know it will be a great Mother's Day gift for your Mom, knowing that you have reached the end of the chemo treatments and are ready to move on to the next step.
Now we can get a better glimpse of those beautiful eyes of yours ;) I love your smile bc you always smile with your eyes as well. Looking forward to hanging before you head up north.
Love you dear!

By the way, I was thinking about when we were little and I was telling someone about you. It made me think of the fun times we had in our neighborhood growing up (and you had the best Barbie house on the block!!!!). Andrea (Rokey) Kellgren
Janna... it was so good to see you on Wednesday. The 4-eyelash look is very becoming. :) I'm praying for remission for you, and that God makes this part of your path straight and level.
Wow Janna, Your post from yesterday TRULY got to me. Your positive attitude and faith is something to aspire to. I'm so happy that yesterday was a better day for you (and that you got in and out of the lab in 45 min:-). You are so right that God doesn't give us more than we can handle and thank you for reminding me of that. I hope your week gets better and better and I will continue praying for you. I'll also try and will the rain away but I think we might be stuck with it for a few days anyway. Yuck. Love ya! Tanner.
Janna, Thanks so much for all the updates. Rick and I continue to contend in prayer for you!! I specifically pray that God speaks to you in specific ways to encourage every step. Janna, I believe you will receive a double portion of the Lord's goodness in some way. Bless you dear friend.
Good Morning - Doodle Bug -- good visit with your Mom and Dad yesterday. I even fixed a rhubarb pie for us and one for Spencer to take to work today. We put a 4th super on the west hive here and at Byron's and first weekend in June I need to check the east hives and do them. Have done nothing this morning - just call me LAZY. Nick's thyroid was low and since he's been on a 1/2 thyroid pill and a perscription salt pill -- no more attacks. Two weeks ago tomorrow night - a tornado just took Byron's new red barn apart. Of course - if you have a shed - you put the vehicles in it - RIGHT! WRONG - Nick's pickup was totaled and Byron's had dents. Friday is Amanda's graduation at WSU - and she working with the PEDS - sound familiar- have to go to Wichita early and take H's hearing aid that has not worked since sometime in January. Best get off here and do SOMETHING. LOVE YOU BUNCHES. A Marilyn
Doodle Bug -- this is the second time for trying to get you a message - got the date the first time. Had a good visit with your Mom and Dad yesterday. Dad and I - put a honey super on the west hives here and at Byron's. First weekend in June I'll have to do the two east hives. 2 Weeks ago tomorrow - a small tornado took Byron's new shed apart. If you have a shed - you put the vehicles in it RIGHT -- WRONG in this case. It totaled Nick's pickup and dent damage on Byron's. His pickup was on the east side of the big combine and so it held up the wall and posts. Nick's thyroid was low and with 1/2 a pill - and the stronger salt pill - a day - he's been fine. Amanda graduates from WSU Friday evening - she's been working in PEDS - sound familiar! Have to go early and take one hearing aid to the VA and see if it can be fixed. Skyler graduated with HONORS from Dodge City Juco Saturday afternoon. Best I get busy. LOVE YOU BUNCHES. A Marilyn

I was reminded of this today... the impact of simply the name of our Lord:
The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower The name of the Lord is a refuge for my soul The name of the Lord is a pillar I can lean on The righteous run in to the name of the Lord.
Lots of prayers for you, simply in the name of our Lord.
Janna, I'm thinking of you and praying for you today! A clear path for the transplant and strong body to receive it. Your honesty and outlook continue to inspire me.

Doodle Bug -- Ready for Teresaa to call and we'll be on our way to Garden Plaine to the Regional track meet. Austin runs in 3 relays. Miss Lucy dug my flower seeds out of the white flower pot this morning -- should have seen her -- black paws (all 4) and nose and chin whiskers. Your right - bath time! Going to St. John in the morning and help Aunt Dody put all the flowers out. Square dance is Saturday night with a caller that I guess we haven't danced to. Patched a pair of Skyler's jeans to take to him this afternoon and cut the sleeves off a western shirt for Andy. He's been home all wk. Running cement over at Ball's - adding on to their shed. He and Adam are really good "buddies" besides being brothers. Was out in the shop the other night till midnight with them. What a pair. About like you and Lisa. Doodle Bug -- Your Mom gave me a little pair of those sharp scissors - used them today at the sewing machine - they are GREAT! Could use a couple more pairs - with my rug making. Skyler got a job with Universal Helicopter Inc - to teach classes - starting this summer and this fall at the college. He had to have a couple pair kahki shorts - they had pocket flaps on the back - so ripped the seam - took off the flaps and restitched. Looks good. Fixed chicken and noodles for the GANG at the mud run. 1/2 have eaten - rest will when the they get ready. Hope you've all 4 enjoyed this weekend and you've gained 5 pounds. Praying for you. Good Evening - Doodle Bug -- Praying for you and your transplant and for Cody and his brain injury. Teresa and I were down there today - took the tube from down his throat and put in a trachea (sp) - put a filter in his Vena Cava artery to prevent blood clots - and a pic for feeding him. Yesterday his ICP was too high and so today they started phena barbitol for at least 3 days -- I know just what your folks are going thru - can't do much but be there as much as possible for V and Steph. Nick and Byron's heading for Springfield in the morning - got another inch of rain and it's tooo muddy for field work. Other than all that - we are doing OK - garden's finally planted and coming up. She collected money selling pop and wanted to give it to you. She collected $150.00 which I will take to Community for you. We were all very moved at her caring and thoughtfulness. I thought you would want to know as soon as possible.
Hi Janna. This is Bill Schemers, Samuels father, from Village Pediatrics. I found out last evening of your battle. If anyone can beat this it is you. Anne and I will be praying for you and folowing your blog. If you need someone to take care of your yard while you are gone I would be most willing to do that for you. I would do it for free. I have a small lawn maintenance business. I can't tell you how inspiring our meetings with you have been at the clinic. You are a great person. All our love, Bill-Anne-Sam

Janna - I had heard you were on a leave of absence, but did not have much information until yesterday, when Meghan was in for a physical with Dr. Bob. Please know that our family is holding you close in our hearts and prayers. You are a uniquely gifted young woman, beautiful, brilliant and with a compassion for the sick I've never witnessed in another medical provider. And now you are the patient. Our hope is that you get the same quality of care as you have given to your patients, and that at the end of this ordeal, you will have gained a new perspective on your personal journey on earth. God bless you and keep you.
Janna--You have already made such an impact on so many lives; my daughter Margaret has a favorite stuffed animal named after you! Please know we are holding you and your family in our prayers; may each step of your journey be filled with healing and peace.
Hello Janna, I have been following your progress almost daily from down south. So thankful for your sake that you have so much of this behind you. You have been a inspiration to so many of us as we have sat back.... somewhat removed from what you have really had to endure and yet you are a shining light that helps us too. I admire you. I keep mom and dad informed. We have all been praying for you and pulling for your strength to sustain you as you continue to beat this thing. We love you. Kim and all the Odom gang.
Janna- The Sher's are prayin' for you every night. The kids know you by name and pray that the "ickies" go away. Know you are surrounded in prayer and LOVE. Keep pressing on.... Beth and Eric
Janna- I'm so pleased with how well you continue to do! I love watching our prayers in action. I think about you everyday. You are so courageous. Lisa (Tebbe) Pyle
Your posts have been wonderful and uplifting. I am so happy with your progress, and proud of your courage it's something we can all learn from. Stay well, Dianna Clark
Janna, something you might consider is getting Biotene, it is a toothpaste and also has a mouth wash. Biotene is made for dry mouth, but also helps with mouth sores. I have found that if you use it regularly, it can keep the mouth sores from fully developing and gets rid of them before they become painful. If your immune system does not allow you to buy it, may be the hospital can get it for you. I get mouth sores regularly and en masse and Biotene is the only thing I have found that really works. Just a thought. I am glad things are going well! Praying for you all! amy miller
Janna What an inspiration you have been to everyone since this ordeal began. A reminder of God's love, his presence in our lives and faithfulness through every moment (both good and bad) of our lives if we but open the door and let him into our hearts and daily lives. Your scriptures that were meant to uplift you have been a blessing and reminder to me of his faithfulness in all things. Peace and comfort to your family. May God continually strengthen you and give you peace and increasing healthy cells. May he be glorified in and through you. My prayers are with you and your family.
Janna - I know you hear it over and over... but you are such an inspiration. God is doing amazing things in and thru you and I am honored to be a part of it thru prayer. We love you!!! Continuing to pray that God reveals Himself to all those around you thru you and your complete recovery - thru miraculous means or thru the miracle of medicine that God has allowed man to develop! Love, Steph, Neal and Weston (Emery)
Janna-You find inspiration everywhere around you. That must be part of God's miracle for you and all of us who love you. Let your body gain strength and your mind be free from worries. We are all with you and in Him. Gail Ezell
Just read your blog and sounds like there is one more little bump along this journey before things do a complete 180! You have passed all of these little (and big) bumps in the road with flying colors. I know you will do the same this time. Just know that the Great Physician is at work in your life. Rest in His love and care. We love you and can't wait to have our next BBQ!!
On my knees for you tonight Janna! Praying that this time in the valley is limited! You are in good hands with such amazing parents and wise medical care. Breathe in the Holy Spirit-----He will carry you! Love you Janna! Miss ya and counting down the days with you.
If anyone can take hill after hill after hill, it is you. Even if you can't physically do it, your will to fight and your desire to glorify God during this time will carry you.
I can't help but think of the seeds you are sowing and cultivating by sharing so openly and willingly. To rejoice in suffering is hard to do, but that is what you are doing. God is doing great works in and through you and I have a feeling we ain't seen nothin' yet!
Praying today that you would feel renewed strength, fresh hope and bold courage to continue running the race set before you. May you feel God's warm embrace and shelter from the storm. Love you Janna! Sarah Leimer

Janna-what a trooper you are! I am sorry you have had to experience such horrible side effects. I wish I could carry this burden for you to ease the pain. Your body may be weak but your heart and soul remain strong---what a true testament of your faith-n-hope in the Lord. Love you Janna and looking forward to seeing you soon!
Doodle Bug -- Do you know how many times since Friday -- I've looked to see HOW MUCH BETTER YOU ARE - and No POST. Sweetie, we at home need to know how you are doing!!!!!!!!!! Even Dad on his e-mail - didn't tell me. Mom - I'm sure - has told you Cody is coming along - each day - a wee bit better. We're still praying for you and Cody to be as good as new - in short order - by God's plan. Even tho - sometimes we think it's not fast enough. We've had 3 inches of rain - not flooding yet tho. Sweet corn is GREAT - too wet and muddy to go pick and work it up tho. Sterling firewords were cancelled for last night and are supposed to be tonight. We watched the Boston Pops one last night. Good. Well, Sugar - best I get off here and find something constructive to do. LOVE A Marilyn & U Harvey

Janna, you are always on my heart and especially today. Know that I'm thinking of you and praying along side you. I so appreciated your post a few days ago ... were you "apologized" for giving details. I'm glad you did! It keeps all of us here close, gives us a better picture of the struggles your going through. Hold on, friend. - Jess Yeldell
Janna, Know that we are praying for you daily. I pray that you would feel better. Many times when I pray for you, I hear the Lord saying that you will receive a double portion of the Lord's goodness. I am not sure when this will come, but I pray that you would feel so much better soon.
Praying for your body to bounce back in away that will shock the docs!! God hears our every cry Janna for you. My prayer is that you feel the Spirit of God comforting your spirit and encouraging you along the way. Keep us updated! I wish I was there to hold your hand or crack a joke when your spirit needs a lift. Hang in there friend! Love you!

Hi Janna, just wanted to let you know that I check your blog daily & am praying for you!!!! Praying for peace, comfort, cool hands & feet. :) Also praying that God would fill you with strength & endurance beyond what you know. You are in his hands & he is right beside you at all times! We are headed to Kanakuk next week. It was ages ago that we worked there. Going reminds me of you & our old K-Club days in Kirksville! Scott is the kamp doctor for a week. Brady isn't quite old enough to be a kamper so we just get to hang out for the week. Love, Holly Morgenstern Keller
Yea!!!!! So happy your hands and feet are better. Love praying for specifics!!! We don't know you personally, but you have always taken good care of Zac and Tate at the Pediatric Office!!! Now you are stuck with us!!!!!!! : ) We will stand in prayer for you. It is our honor to do that!!! Praying for continued improvement for those hands and feet and for an overall feeling of wellness! You are moving in the right direction!!! Love, Kristi Stockton
Janna, I am praying for you today and thankful to see your post that your hands and feet are getting better. I'm praying you feel encouraged from signs like these. And praying against more side effects ... the "regular" effects are enough! Love you.

Hey Janna, it's great to hear you are getting better each day. You are in my prayers and I can see how many people you are inspiring, including me. AMEN on your last post! What a strong woman you are Janna! I don't think my attitude would be nearly that good. You have every reason to be down and yet you continue to be strong and rely on your faith! God is faithful and we don't often know why things happen the way they do. God is still on His throne and still in control! Stay strong!
Hi Janna.....we are praying for you daily and hope your feet and hands get better very, very soon!! That is painful- anything wrong with feet and hands> You are doing such a wonderful, wonderful job and so full of love that I feel your love pouring into me everytime I read your comments. Miss Isis and I have been making day trips for history and going to old museums and battle sites. On weekends John goes with us...Yesterday it was Fort Osage. Since Miss Isis is history buff, we are keeping her busy. She is still volunteering at Wornall House and other locations as they ask. She is growing like a weed and wants you back before she gets taller than you...she already is taller than me!!We send all of our love and prayers to you dear friend and care giver...You are so special in our lives....God be with you always during this journey....Love, Pat Sain-Perez.

Good Morning -- Doodle Bug -- froze enough peaches for 3 pies this morning - I peeled and Teresa cut them up. Picked about 1 1/2 bu Friday night at Patty's - where we take Lucy and Pepper. U Harvey had a VA appt yesterday at 10 to pick up the new hearing aids - boy - they are much better than the old ones - besides that she gave him a little deal to put on the TV and it goes straight to the new hearing aids. He can turn the TV down so low - Gma can't hear it. Stopped to see Cody - that spot on his head is shrunken in about an inch - looks really funny - he's still on antibiotics till end of the week - 2 days off - do a culture and if OK - surgery for August 9. They gave him a paper which he was to name 5 - cities, countries, flowers, elements, birds & ? and he wrote them in all by himself and most of them were spelled correctly. He now tells us he's getting out of that place - but still can't move the left leg much. He can get his feet out of bed and set up by himself & with R leg get into the wheelchair. He's texting Spencer and Amanda. Guess what - the washing machine "swisher" decided to quit this morning - have to take it to Hutch this afternoon and see about a new one. Best get off here and fix bacon and tomato sandwiches for us for lunch. SOOOO glad you are able to be out and walking - just be patient -- take Mom's kindle and start reading. LOVE A Marilyn & U Harvey
I am thinking about you and praying for you. I am so amazed by your gracious outlook. I hope you can enjoy your time off and make the most of your boredom.
janna - was thinking of you yesterday at our 5 a.m. feeding, getting ready to pray... thinking about how you are living out the song "refiner's fire." no one would choose to go thru what you are having to face, and most of us would never be able to do it with such grace, faith and obedience... your heart is so beautiful janna. we are blessed to partner with you in prayer on this journey.
Purify my heart Let me be as gold and precious silver Purify my heart Let me be as gold, pure gold
Refiner's fire My heart's one desire Is to be holy Set apart for You Lord I choose to be holy Set apart for You my Master Ready to do Your will
Malachi 3:2 "But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver...

Hi!!!!!! I hope you know that you have been in the prayers of the Kansas City young Cathoics who live in the house on Meyer Street! I haven't been in touch at all, but you have been the recipient of several rosary novinas in the past half a year and on our minds and in our hearts. We are so impressed by your faithfulness and your courage. You are a strong woman!! I have family in Nebraska - if you're still there through September, can you accept a visitor? I would love to stop by and see you and bring you some homecooked food or whatever your family needs. How do I get in contact with you? Please drop me a line. jm.hilger@gmail.com

Hello there Ms Janna, Kennedy and Taylor were having their back to school check ups at Village Peds and we were remembering all of the times you have cared for them. We think of you often and will send many prayer's your way. Take care and God Bless you The Thornton Family Mike, Terry, Kennedy and Taylor Rose
Your Uncle Hank told me he really enjoyed his visit Monday and Tuesday and I'm really glad you are doing well. My friends and I were hanging around the fire hydrant this morning talking about how nice it will be to watch you playing ultimate frisbee again soon.
janna - so glad you made it thru a wednesday without the wednesday blues! just a quick note to ask you to please pray for my birthmom katie. she is in the hospital because she couldn't keep anything down for about four days. when we talked breifly yesterday she said she didn't know if it was just because she was so weak, but she was afraid this is the beginning of the end. i heard from her sister tonight and she is doing better and was to hear from the dr. tonite when she might get to go home. she was supposed to go to little rock after the wknd to start a new kind of treatment that about a third of melanoma sufferers have responded positively to. m.d. anderson didn't have anything else to offer her since some of her tumors didn't respond to the chemo and bio treatments that she went thru. i am asking God to do a mighty miracle. she is asking too, but her spirits are very low. thank you so much. you continue to be an inspiration to all of us. love you. steph
You hit the mark Janna! Right on with joy vs. happiness. I had to grab a tissue at the end of that post. You are a true example of what the POWER and JOY of God can do in someone's life. Thanks for sharing.
Good Afternoon - Doodle Bug!!! It was soooo wonderful to see and talk to you Friday night. I told Teresa this morning - if she'd see you now -- she'd never know what you've been thru. We got home from KC about 1:30 and then at 5 went to Patty's after Lucy and Pepper and we picked about 3/4 bu of peaches. Have some in the refrig - one pan cooked and the rest are patiently waiting for me to "get with the program". Of course the house was empty of bread - milk - cereal - etc. So for our supper last night we had an "old" can of biscuits baked and butter and jelly on them. If you're hungry - it at least is better than nothing. Teresa says she has the kindergarten class from " ell". One little guy turned 5 August 17th and says No - you can't make me - don't you touch me - I won't sit down - can't even draw a straight line - Tuesday they are to do an IEP on him --- he's tooo young. Grass really needs mowing and Spencer and Clint's clean clothes have 3 baskets to fold and guess what -- I'm not doing it. You are such an inspiration to all of us who knows you. These next 2 weeks should fly by and then you'll be back at your house. Please know we love you. Take care. Love Aunt Marilyn
Miss Doodle Bug -- by now you are probably back in Omaha. Talked to Steph this morning and Cody got to go home last Friday. Moved his bed upstairs. Their goal for today is to walk in the gravel to the shed without the walker and then a wheelchair ride back to the house. Ran a temp - had a UTI infection but is much better. He wanted to go for a 4 wheeler ride - Mom said No - he said then I'll ask my Dad -- of course Verlan said NO WAY. He has to be reevaluated this week because of therapy as an out patient - sounds as if it'll be to Wesley Rehab about everyday of the week for awhile. OK now you know! LOVE A Marilyn
Janna, Your posts are so great. I read your post from Saturday yesterday and it really lifted me on a low day. Thanks for sharing your faith and amazing words with us all! Love ya.
Hi Janna, I hear Isis and I just missed you the other day by less than an hour!! Miss 58 1/2 inches is now taller than "Mom" and just as beautiful as always. She took her "big girl shots" as she called them, like a trooper and was back in 6th grade the next day....she was so excited about you visiting...sad she missed you but so thankful you were out and about a bit. We hope to see you for med checkup in November....We miss you and pray for you everyday...You have had such an impact on both of our lives....God sent you as a gift to us...what a blessing....See you soon...keep smiling....Love, Pat and Isis Perez
Janna, I am so happy to hear the awesome news!!! Your posting brought joy to my heart and put a smile on my face!! Keep on believing! Will continue to pray for you and your family. Love, Amy Miller
YES, you are almost there. I will be in prayer for you girl as you go through your restaging God is good and faithful! Looking forward to more 'hang out' time.
Good evening -- Miss Doodle Bug -- beautiful weekend. Didn't get to go to the garage sales -- Nick asked for stew for the kids between & after the MUD RUN. He was to bring hamburger over and when he wasn't here by 10 - I went to the basement for some - water on the basement floor - opened the freezer and could tell it was defrosting - came back and told Harvey - he went down - fuse burnt out - got the one from the water pump and when he put it in - the sparks flew from that old refrig - then he had to go to Lyons for a box of fuses - unplugged the refrig and put in the fuse and HURRAH -- the freezer started and so then we cleaned the ice from off the side. A mess. Verlan and Cody came - Adam's Ranger (4-wheeler) has seat belts and so Cody got in it and was seat belted in and Verlan drove - very carefully. They stayed about 2 1/2 hrs and then they were home - he said he was tired and was ready to go home. Steph takes him everyday back to Wichita for therapy. Doesn't do bad with the walker but the knee and ankle need lots more bending. Harvey and I'll leave about 1 for the State Fair and go see Terry Fater and his puppets - he won America's Got Talent 2 years ago. Should be good. That's about it from this house. LOVE YOU -- A Marilyn
Hi Janna!! We miss you here in KC! I just went to the Hoedown on Friday and I was remembering you being there last year, and I got all excited about you coming back to KC soon! I wrote a couple times in the Spring and have been following your blog from Cincinnati. Congratulations on reaching the 100 Day Milestone with all its benefits! Although you've consistently given all the credit to God, I've no doubt your remarkable faith and courage made his job a whole lot easier. You've show incredible strength through this ordeal. Proverbs says "pride goes before destruction", but I'm quite sure if you take a few moments at this point to feel good about yourself, all will be forgiven. You certainly deserve it! Best wishes on your continuing recovery.
Janna, I can't believe Day 100 is already past, but I CAN believe your results are fabulous. I knew if anyone had the strength to do this, you did. I've been reading your blog all along, and I want to thank you for inspiring me with your steadfast faith. Hope you are safely home and that I'll get to see you in K.C. soon. --Amy (Artz) McKinnis
So glad to hear you are back and doing great. I have missed seeing you at the office. I am sure you feel blessed to be back at work. I too will be blessed because you are back! Take care and I am sure I will see you soon. Christine Schafer (Shire Rep)

A Marilyn
ReplyDeleteDoodle Bug -- this is the second time for trying to get you a message - got the date the first time. A Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHang in there we love you
ReplyDeleteDave and Laura
Janna... I wanted to share a story of your impact on the life of children.
ReplyDeleteI had my surgery Thursday, so Wednesday I was talking to Kaya about where I'd be and what was going to happen. Here's a little of our conversation:
Me: "Kaya, Mommy's going to be wearing some silly jammies tomorrow. Where do we wear silly jammies?"
Kaya: "At the hospital."
Me: "And at the hospital, they're going to make Mommy feel better. Who helps make us feel better?"
Kaya: "Janna."
We're praying for you!
Harold, Janine & Kaya

SO WONDERFUL THAT YOU ARE IN REMISSION!!!!! Please don't forget to blog at least every other day. LOVE YOU BUNCHES> A. Marilyn

Doodle Bug -- Your Mom gave me a little pair of those sharp scissors - used them today at the sewing machine - they are GREAT! Could use a couple more pairs - with my rug making.
ReplyDeleteSkyler got a job with Universal Helicopter Inc - to teach classes - starting this summer and this fall at the college. He had to have a couple pair kahki shorts - they had pocket flaps on the back - so ripped the seam - took off the flaps and restitched. Looks good.

LOVE YOU BUNCHES and MANY PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU IN OMAHA. LOVE A Marilyn

Janna, we all miss you here at Village Peds! I just wanted to tell you about one of your patients that came into the office today. Mia Tomasic just came into the office to give money to your cause. She collected money selling pop and wanted to give it to you. She collected $150.00 which I will take to Community for you. We were all very moved at her caring and thoughtfulness. I thought you would want to know as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteHi Janna. This is Bill Schemers, Samuels father,
ReplyDeletefrom Village Pediatrics. All our love,
Bill-Anne-Sam

Janna - I had heard you were on a leave of absence, but did not have much information until yesterday, when Meghan was in for a physical with Dr. Bob. Please know that our family is holding you close in our hearts and prayers. You are a uniquely gifted young woman, beautiful, brilliant and with a compassion for the sick I've never witnessed in another medical provider. And now you are the patient. Our hope is that you get the same quality of care as you have given to your patients, and that at the end of this ordeal, you will have gained a new perspective on your personal journey on earth. God bless you and keep you.
ReplyDeleteLindsay Mohn (and Andy, Melanie, Andrew & Meghan)
Janna--You have already made such an impact on so many lives; my daughter Margaret has a favorite stuffed animal named after you! Please know we are holding you and your family in our prayers; may each step of your journey be filled with healing and peace.
ReplyDeleteHello Janna, I have been following your progress almost daily from down south.
ReplyDeletePraying today that you feel the encouragement of God and an increase of his presence. Love you Janna!!
ReplyDeleteEmily Del Rosario
Janna- The Sher's are prayin' for you every night. The kids know you by name and pray that the "ickies" go away. Know you are surrounded in prayer and LOVE. Keep pressing on....

ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased with how well you continue to do! I love watching our prayers in action. I think about you everyday. You are so courageous. Lisa (Tebbe) Pyle
Your posts have been wonderful and uplifting.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy with your progress, and proud of your courage it's something we can all learn from.
Stay well,
Dianna Clark
Janna, something you might consider is getting Biotene, it is a toothpaste and also has a mouth wash. Biotene is made for dry mouth, but also helps with mouth sores. I have found that if you use it regularly, it can keep the mouth sores from fully developing and gets rid of them before they become painful. If your immune system does not allow you to buy it, may be the hospital can get it for you. I get mouth sores regularly and en masse and Biotene is the only thing I have found that really works. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI am glad things are going well! Praying for you all!

We're celebrating with you, Janna!!! A new victory every day! LOVE YOU!

ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration you have been to everyone since this ordeal began.
Sharon Mullaney (friend of Lisa Gibson)
You are amazing Janna!!! Such an inspiration!! God Bless You! Enjoy your big windows...sounds delightful.

ReplyDeleteLove,

ReplyDeleteIf anyone can take hill after hill after hill, it is you.

ReplyDeleteLove you!

LOVE A Marilyn & U Harvey

janna - was thinking of you yesterday at our 5 a.m. feeding, getting ready to pray... thinking about how you are living out the song "refiner's fire." no one would choose to go thru what you are having to face, and most of us would never be able to do it with such grace, faith and obedience... your heart is so beautiful janna. we are blessed to partner with you in prayer on this journey.

janna - so glad you made it thru a wednesday without the wednesday blues! just a quick note to ask you to please pray for my birthmom katie. she is in the hospital because she couldn't keep anything down for about four days. when we talked breifly yesterday she said she didn't know if it was just because she was so weak, but she was afraid this is the beginning of the end. i heard from her sister tonight and she is doing better and was to hear from the dr. tonite when she might get to go home. she was supposed to go to little rock after the wknd to start a new kind of treatment that about a third of melanoma sufferers have responded positively to. m.d. anderson didn't have anything else to offer her since some of her tumors didn't respond to the chemo and bio treatments that she went thru. i am asking God to do a mighty miracle. she is asking too, but her spirits are very low. thank you so much. you continue to be an inspiration to all of us. love you.
ReplyDeletesteph

ReplyDeleteMiss Doodle Bug -- by now you are probably back in Omaha.
ReplyDeleteWell said Janna! Thank you for helping me find joy in my life! You are amazing! The countdown is on! Stay strong!!! See you back in KC very soon!!

Janna,
ReplyDeleteYour posts are so great.

Janna,
ReplyDeleteI wrote a couple times in the Spring and have been following your blog from Cincinnati.
Will Mitchell
Janna, I can't believe Day 100 is already past, but I CAN believe your results are fabulous. I knew if anyone had the strength to do this, you did. I've been reading your blog all along, and I want to thank you for inspiring me with your steadfast faith. Hope you are safely home and that I'll get to see you in K.C. soon.
ReplyDelete--Amy (Artz) McKinnis
